There’s something mildly filthy and wrong about eating curry on a lunchtime. Entering an indian restaurant during daylight hours feels not unlike been caught putting your dad’s special love video back in the wardrobe, on the jumper shelf, at the left hand side.

Not that we ever did that or anything. It was a friend.

And so we ignored the pangs of guilt, preferring to follow our pangs of hunger, to the Raj Tandoori in Pudding Chare for the 12 til 2 lunchtime special. Read full story
