21 beers, 12 ciders and an organic BBQ

Tucked away in the Ouseburn valley, a short walk from Manors metro station, you’ll find The Cumberland Arms.
There’s a big hill to climb, but as their website rightly says, the beer’s worth it.
The Cumberland plays host to local sword dancers, the Kingsmen’s practice sessions (they even have their own beer), has more live music than you can shake the proverbial stick at, and as if that’s not enough this Saturday the Organic Beer Festival returns.
We’re sure you’ll join the newcastlecentric team in our quest to sample all 21 beers, 12 ciders and 4 perrys the Cumberland has to offer over the weekend.
Our particular favourites include Dizzy Duck, Lizard Point and a pint of 42, if only because it means that the ultimate question to life, the universe, and everything must then be “what would you like to drink?”
Alongside all of that alcohol theres an organic BBQ to stop you keeling over (and hopefully save you from that dodgy kebab at the end of the night) and a whole boatload of live music throughout the weekend.
Who needs Glastonbury, eh?
