PREVIEW - Cuban Noche @ Secco, Pilgrim Street
By Sam Collier • Jul 15th, 2008 • Category: events, music, nightlife
Rum and cigars, it’s a classic combination.
That’s not all this celebration of Cuban culture has to offer, but with a free mojito and cuban cigar tasting to look forward to, we had to give them a cheeky mention.
Tonight Cuban Noche offers a chance to get a real taste of Cuban culture without even venturing outside our own city.
At Secco bar on Pilgrim Street you’ll find live Cuban music featuring Maria Martinez, Paco Bethencourt-Llobert and Chesco Soluguren with DJ Nik Barrera filling in the gaps.
There’ll also be a buffet style selection of classic Cuban dishes and a display of Cuban boxing photography from Murray Close.
And thats on top of the rum and cigars. Happy days.
Cuban Noche starts at 8pm. Tickets are £7.50 and are available online from Northern Stage and from Secco.
