If you’re looking to get the most out of your bank holiday weekend, then make the most of the opportunity to go out on a school night and get down to Digital Newcastle on Sunday for 2 Many DJs.
2 Many DJs are Belgian brothers Stephen and David Dewaele. They may be better known as rock band Soulwax, for which they were respectively singer and guitarist, but have become renowned in their own right under the alias 2 Many DJs for their eclectic DJ sets and releases, remixing and bootlegging (the music of a track vs the voice of another) famous producer’s tracks.
The Dewaele brothers defy musical categorisation, refusing to be confined to one genre. They are described as anything from electro, funk, hip hop, indie and rock to dance, synth-pop, new wave and trance.
They have to be seen to be believed as they mix up to 50 songs within one outstanding hour of music which cannot fail to get you dancing.
With literally something for everyone, you won’t be disappointed waiting for a song you can sing along to – in one set 2 Many DJs will take you on a journey from Destiny’s Child, Salt ‘N’ Pepa, Kylie and Röyksopp to Dolly Parton, INXS, AC/DC, Prodigy and Basement Jaxx.
Further details can be found at www.yourfutureisdigital.com. Advance tickets cost £12 and are on sale from www.ticketweb.co.uk.
