Gateshead police raid second weed farm in a fortnight

Stone the crows. And everybody else too, probably.
Just a fortnight after a cannabis farm was found growing in a second floor flat in Gateshead, police have now discovered an entire house filled with plants and equipment.
Officers made the find in Bensham’s Windsor Avenue on Monday afternoon, in what the Chronicle refers to as “connected to an operation to smash a farm in the Newcastle area.”
400 mature plants were found, worth around £200,000.
A spokesman said: “The entire house, except one room, had been converted into a greenhouse and was professionally done with a sophisticated heating and hydroponics system.”
