Newcastle murders appear on Crimewatch

The BBC’s Crimewatch programme has visited Newcastle to reconstruct the last known movements of Zhen Xing Yang and Xi Zhou.
The mutilated bodies of the couple were found last month in their ground floor flat on Croydon Road.
Since the murders, Northumbria Police have conducted a nationwide manhunt and made direct appeals to Chinese communities in Tyneside and London.
Video of Xi Zhou’s journey from her place of work at Wagamama in Old Eldon Square to Westgate Road has already been released. Northumbria Police hope the Crimewatch reconstruction, to be shown on Thursday night, will help fill in gaps in the couple’s final movements.
