- A man has been arrested following the shooting at the Turnpike pub in Chapel House last week. A 25 year old man was shot in the stomach after two men entered the pub.
- Two men have been charged following the discovery of 2kg of cocaine in the lining of a suitcase at Newcastle Airport.
- Battery hen eggs have been taken off school menud by Newcastle city council because of cruelty concerns.
- The Enemy have announced a nationwide tour that will take in Newcastle’s Carling Academy on March 20th.
