The BBC reports that a teenager has been arrested after climbing the Tyne Bridge.
The 16-year-old from Felling got stuck up the bridge and police and the fire service were called out to the incident, which occurred last night.
According to the BBC, the teenager was unable to get down by himself and fire officers had to bring him to safety, closing the bridge to traffic for 20 minutes.
Northumbria Police said he was uninjured and later arrested him for causing a public nuisance.
