UPDATE - Newcastle gridlocked over flimping?

It appears that a prolonged case of “flimping” may have been responsible for serious disruption to traffic in Newcastle city centre at rush hour this evening.
Over two dozen buses remained static for nearly half an hour from Pilgrim Street, down Grainger Street to the roads surrounding Central station.



High Level Bridge gets a fresher lick of paint

The view along the Tyne from the High Level Bridge is amongst the favourites of Newcastle and Gateshead residents. The sight of the bridge from within, despite millions of pounds spent on it, is an entirely different matter.
